The AN/PVS-31 is the latest generation binocular night vision device system developed by USSOCOM in collaboration with L3 company, based on the needs of its units. Currently, it is widely used by almost all special units in M country, and even many elite units in NATO are equipped with this night vision device. The reviews for this device are almost unanimously positive. The only improvement made in the AN/PVS-31A is the gain mode and IR, which may potentially affect its waterproof performance, but this is only a possibility

The advantage of the binocular night vision device over the quadocular night vision device is that it is lighter in weight and smaller in size.
